An interesting factoid came up a while back, Someone linked to some You Tube videos where a plumber fills some lines, both PEX and Copper, with water and freezes it, lines were capped with Sharkbite connectors.
NOw I know copper will not always survive,, (Have seen burst copper lines) his did but the shark bite connctor came off.
The pex the sharkbites did a better job but PEX has a bit of 'Give' so it survived just fine.
If you have a low spot OTHER thank a low point drain the odds it will be all PEX, no elbows or connectors in that spot (For example on my rig where the lines cross from the service side to the patio side) and if it freezes in this area, as mine did last winter, No problem just thaw when the sun comes up and it works.
If the hard plastic elbows and connectors freeze, they will crack and leak,, But .. Well, that night they had heaters keeping them company.
