Blue Ox Customer Service
I wanted to give a shout out for the customer service folks at Blue Ox in Pender, NE. I have called them twice in the recent past for some minor things. First were covers for the keyholes in my Alpha towbar pins. I needed eight of these covers. After a quick call to Blue Ox I was sent eight at no charge. They were shipped immediately and arrived a couple of days later. This past Friday I called Blue Ox CS again for the large cable ties used to secure the rubber boots on the Alpha towbar itself. I had looked everywhere for the wide ties BO uses on the coach end of the towbar. I service my Alpha every year as specified by BO. This service requires cutting off the existing ties, sliding the boot out of the way, spraying silicone lubricant to remove the old grease, wiping dry and clean then applying a fresh coat of grease. After all this is done the ties will secure the boots in place. After looking everywhere both locally and online I was unable to find the correct size OEM ties. I had been using two smaller ties placed side by side. Marty, the Blue Ox customer service person I spoke with, told me he was sending me some correct size ties. They will arrive tomorrow via FedEx at NO COST. Blue Ox is outstanding!
BTW: I could have probably bought the proper size online but did not need a package of 100. That many ties would be a fifty year supply.
