According to owners manual, hitch has a 17K rating (stock hitch factory installed).
My sleeve is a Curt 45405. According to Curt, the rating is the same as the hitch rating. I actually have it welded in, making it an integral part of the hitch to eliminate the slop.
I chose to go with a 2" shank vice upgrade to 2.5" and glad I did. I broke down middle of now where, and tow truck driver needed to use my hitch to tow my trailer (truck was on flat bed). I would have had to leave trailer on side of road if it was a 2.5" shank.
