I have the 2K bars (1690 lbs on tongue) on the 10 link never tried to lift the truck to the point I can rotate by hand.
They way the bars flex I don’t see the point of trying to do the latches by hand. When jacked up there’s little effort needed to rotate the latches with the tool. I think this is a hangover from the other spring bars that don’t flex and snap up brackets.
