Blue Ox Tow Bar Not locking

Why don't YOU send it back? Call BlueOx (google for phone #). No dealer needed.
Go to a FedEx or UPS store for shipping. That'll cost, but not $212.

My blue ox aladin did the sa e thing, rv dealer iuse for repairs sent it out to blue ox. Got it back 6 plus weeks later for 212.00 bucks and it still not fixed but if I play with it I can get it to lock in but the handle is loose not locked like the other side??? They say send it back??? Stay tuned! I posted my problem before here. Paul

My cables from BlueOx are coiled and require a little stretching to go from the MH to the toad so they are taught under the tow bar.

The instructions also say to cross the cables as you would trailer safety chains to provide a cradle in the event of a separation.

Your safety cables should be under the two bar, when properly setup it's not possible for the safety cables to come in contact with the lever.

Mine did the same thing 5+ yrs. ago. Had to manually hold the arm up to get it to lock. Called Blue Ox and they advised to check the set screw in the locking mechanism, get to it from the outside. Pretty easy to adjust it. Haven't touched it since.

Some years ago, my unit, one of the telescoping arms would not retract. Hooking up the toad was kinda neat...we had to be exact. And this started in Tennessee. 4 days (ands 3 unhiching) later, arrived home and I called BlueOx. Gave them the serial number and they gaveme a shipping number. Said any repair was free...(LIFETIME !)just send it to them. Went to the UPS store, they packed and shipped it. $94.
Got it back maybe 2 weeks later, looked brand new. Rebuilt. What more could one ask for?

My brother took off the rubber end piece and lubed it. Works great now. Thanks, Glen! He says there was some dust or dirt that had lodged in there. Who would guess it!

It will lock if manually lifted. It will not "pop" up to that position on its own. I'll try anything.
