Boston RV Show

Stopped by the Boston RV show today. Lots of units, all varieties, all levels. $12 for adults but there are $2 off coupons available. Parking will range $10-20. If you in the market, unsure of what you want and/or have nothing to do, it's worth the trip.
  • Crowe, I think taking the Red Line to the Silver Line in is the best. That is what we are doing tomorrow.

We though about the T but I'd have to drive to Alewife in Cambridge, hope I can get a spot there, then hook up with the silver line. I can actually take the train from N. Billerica to North Station but then I'd have to get to the Seaport district. Total time to do either plus cost just isn't worth it. There are plenty of lots near there but it does require a bit of a walk and some construction dodging.

We will be there also, as well as the Auto Show.

If you are really into cars, check out the new Porsche Macan. It's the "baby" version of the Cayenne and it looks really sweet. Jeep has a diesel version of the Grand Cherokee available now that kind of caught our eye. Subaru had a cut-away car to show how it's constructed that was interesting. And, if anyone reading this is a MINI "purist", you won't like the 2014 changes. We did but we aren't purists on those. Being a two-MINI household but newcomers to the brand we like them a little bit larger. Scope out the chili red MINI Countryman with the trident on the hood. That's what color mine is and I'll be changing my stripes to the trident sometime soon.

The RV show had some very deep discounts but also the "3 days only" stuff. Most of these same dealers will be in Springfield and I am sure they will offer the same discounts there. We did talk to a few sales people but nobody was really pushy. Oh, and there was the usual "yes, an F150 can tow this stuff". Just keep your head on straight and everything will be fine.
  • Really want to go but I can't, maybe next year. I am hoping to at least get to the NH show in March.
  • I'm going tomorrow prior to the Patriots game. Where did you find the coupons ??? I can't wait to see the sales staff faces when I tell them I'm towing with a Honda Accord. DW wants to look at something in the range of 30ft. An upgrade from our 24 footer. I'm towing with a 2500 Burb.....but the sales staff will never know.
