On one hand, especially with Easter coming around, I don't want to be hard on people down on their luck. It doesn't take much for someone to wind up on the streets, especially in the tech sector where what few jobs are not already in Mumbai, are starting to shrink. Minimum wage jobs that we used to have in high school for temporary work are now "permanent" jobs by adults.
However, on the other hand, going to a forum, calling for a boycott because a company, giving a free service, decided to ask someone to move along the road, is a completely different issue. This doesn't help a single thing, other than perhaps venting.
In this region of Texas, more than one Wal-Mart has banned overnighting, to the point of some actually installing round bars on the consumer entrances to prevent vehicles more than 10-11 feet tall from entering. Fredricksberg has banned any vehicle of more than 20 feet of wheelbase to park more than 12 hours in any location other than a RV park, storage lot, or work area. It wouldn't take much for W-M corporate, with a stroke of a "send" button, to outright ban overnighting in all locations, and if their stores get known as a hive for vagrants and drug-users, this could be forthcoming.
From what I read, the OP violated a few very salient rules. First, one should ask for permission, preferably from the manager on duty. Second, one should stay 8-12 hours at most before going down the road. Third, never stay more than a night. We all get tired, and because of crime and budget, Wally Worlds wind up becoming our rest stops. However, that privilege can easily be yanked, so it is something to be treated with care and respect.
One other suggestion I have for the OP: Seguin is a small town, and finding work can be difficult there if you are not known to people. I'd go elsewhere, perhaps I-10 into San Antonio or Kerrville. Or, the I-35 corridor between SAT and Austin, there are lots of retail places, and there are also spots to tuck a rig unnoticed.
