The key to any toad braking system working well is proper installation and adjustment, and from everything I've read the Ready Brake system works well when properly installed and adjusted. Any type of brake system will cause problems and not work well if not set up correctly. A big pitfall of selecting a toad braking system is that there are no performance or manufacturing standards (unlike virtually every other piece of hardware associated with towing), so you are at the mercy of the manufacturer's claims and user reviews to decide what works well and what doesn't.
