I noticed the same thing in the MH magazine. My guess was the same as already stated it has to do with the almighty dollar. As far as it being a worry having a supplemental braking system the Ready Brake really eliminates a lot of things that can happen with other braking systems. You could have the cable pulled too tight but other than that there is not much chance for it to hang up and put the brakes on your toad.
