BrakeBuddy Classic break-away...??

On the BrakeBudddy Classic, does the pull-pin break-away switch "make" or does it "break" the circuit whenever the pin is pulled?

Thanks

$10 Hopkins. I needed to set up another vehicle and the ordinary part worked just fine. Didn't come with Velcro and long wires, but just fine. Radio Shack had the banana plugs for the ends.

That's what I had assumed, but I just wanted to make sure.
What happened is that I got rid of my Blazer and forgot to remove this switch. Now, I wanted to buy the $10 Hopkins,.....instead of the $75 BrakeBuddy. And, I had to make sure both worked the same.
    Thanks
