Bringing a generator with to a FHU campground?

I was thinking about this. I have a small 2200W generator that will do everything I need but run the A/C. I know some campgrounds lose power and was wondering if anyone carries it along as back up jus...

We almost always stay at state parks and have electrical hookups, but I still carry a 3500,4000 watt ginny in case of power outages because my wife has trouble breathing when it is hot and humid. 4 or 5 times electricity was knocked out, once for most of the day and the ginny saved the day for us, I was able to run 1 a/c for DW instead of packing up and leaving or running the truck all day. :)
