Bringing a generator with to a FHU campground?

I was thinking about this. I have a small 2200W generator that will do everything I need but run the A/C. I know some campgrounds lose power and was wondering if anyone carries it along as back up jus...

We carry ours not only for the rare camp outage but primarily for lunch/rest stops on the road.
It lets us power the microwave if wanted and to eat lunch or nap with the AC on.
