Bringing a generator with to a FHU campground?

I was thinking about this. I have a small 2200W generator that will do everything I need but run the A/C. I know some campgrounds lose power and was wondering if anyone carries it along as back up jus...

I keep the Honda 2000 in the storage box so it's always available. Even if we are planning on a FHU trip, an unexpected detour or breakdown could find us boondocking somewhere....I don't usually carry the extended run tank in teh back of the truck unless I know we'll be off the grid for a few days.
