Bringing a generator with to a FHU campground?

I was thinking about this. I have a small 2200W generator that will do everything I need but run the A/C. I know some campgrounds lose power and was wondering if anyone carries it along as back up jus...

If it's not big enough to run the AC why bother. I have one also and have never took it with me camping when I had electric sites. And never needed it either.
