Bringing a generator with to a FHU campground?

I was thinking about this. I have a small 2200W generator that will do everything I need but run the A/C. I know some campgrounds lose power and was wondering if anyone carries it along as back up jus...

To charge your batteries....run other things...Have a fantastic fan? It will run down your batteries.
