You could always go camping without an RV either for that matter, what a concept!!! We never leave home without it, but it would be difficult to do so anyway since it is of the onboard variety. We avoid private RV parks unless there are no other alternatives (prefer federal, state, county, or COE parks) available so we have not experienced a power failure occurring during a stay. Since we predominately drycamp and boondock, having solar and a generator along for the trip guarantees happy camping.
