Bringing a generator with to a FHU campground?

I was thinking about this. I have a small 2200W generator that will do everything I need but run the A/C. I know some campgrounds lose power and was wondering if anyone carries it along as back up jus...

Have had to use the generator several times not because the power was out but because our surge guard unit shut down the electricity because of low voltage.
