Bugs of the front cap.

I carry a rinseless wash and clean the cap after a travel day. No complaints at any CG's I've been at. I think if I hauled out a hose and started spraying it'd be a problem. But it's just a bucket and long handled squeegee.

I never had a problem doing it either, until today. I arrived at Camp Hatteras about two hours ago and before I hooked up my water line and gave the front a quick spritz to get the bugs of. I had my squeegee and I wetted the front windshield. Probably used a gallon if that. Next thing I know, Security was right there telling me it isn't allowed. I have been coming here for years and this is the first time I was denied. Oh, well.

Adolf's Meat Tenderizer mixed in water. Use a sponge and the bugs will roll right off.

regular hand sanitizer works great.

One of the handiest little devices I've bought is called a "Bug Remover" from CW. It looks sort of like a squeegee with a red handle but has what looks like a scouring pad on the head. It's very soft and won't scratch. I apply liquid wax to it and scrub away. Works great and the handle, about 24", gives you some leverage and makes the job easier.

Pick up a can of Goof Off wipes..the operative word is wipes...This stuff works magic on black streaks on my fiberglass TT…they disappear quick and with zero elbow grease...effortless! I follow up with some soapy water to remove any residual Goof Off...Try it...you won’t use anything else.

"Bug-Off" does a wonderful job on the toughest bugs and tar - a Thetford product if I remember rightly.

That would be a good idea but every campground I've been to does not allow washing.

Never had one turn me down for only washing the front cap with bugs.
