You are contemplating a real business. Are you ready for all that entails? Employees and human resource issues such as hiring, firing, training, dispute resolutions etc.? Government regulations, filings, reports, inspections etc.?
Any lodging business involves customer service issues and you are going to have to be able to say "NO" often. Are you OK with being the bad guy, because you will often find yourself in situations where the customer's requests do not align themselves with the best interests of your business. While this might seem a minor issue, I have found more people have left the business for this reason than any other.
You are likely to get a whole lot of advice, some of it very good, some of it very bad and some of it just about impossible.
