Used RV for 50K now will be 6 years older when you retire. What will it be like by then?
Saving now, an RV 6 years from now will be a lot more than 50K (in all likelihood). Even used. Who knows, an equivalent 50K RV 6 years from now might cost 75-100K.
If your budget is only 50K, then wait (my opinion). Especially since you don't seem able to use it much for the next six years.
The interest rates, and return on investments and all that hullaballoo is all smoke screen to the real fundamental question. You spend 50K now, and it sits for half the year, and the issues associated with an older RV getting older, or you wait and save even more than 50K so you can get a decent one when you retire.
