The Ford 6.7 scorpion and 6r140 torqueshift have proven to be hugely reliable. Not sure why it was discredited so soon. Good luck with any dpf equipped vehicle.
Not sure where you get this info from but it's less than accurate.
Hugely? That may be a bit exaggerated. All three have good dependable transmissions. Let's not forget, only Chrysler offers the the longest power train warranty. Engine reliability, well, the Duramax and Powerstroke's have a long history of issues as their designs have progressed but no one has caused hardships to owners like Ford has with Powerstroke warranty denials.
The current Powerstroke design has somewhat bridged the differences between the low end torque of an in-line six cylinder and a V8 design. Ford and their design partner (AVL) found a way to get a longer stroke in a V8 configuration. This leaves the Duramax in the dust and the Powerstroke out front.
When it comes to making a choice for reliability, Cummins still holds the title. May be the new Powerstroke is reliable but that will have to be earned over time.
I would not call an engine with a big history of dropped valves, tons of turbo problems and super expensive CP4 problems "hugely reliable."
Valve problems
More valve problems
More valve problems
And then there is the:

More turbo problems
More turbo problems
More turbo problems
The turbo problems got so bad that Ford junked the twin compressor design and went with a single compressor just like GM and Ram.
And then there is the catastrophic engine failures:
Catastrophic engine failures
Ford did do a lot of fixed for the 15 model of this engine. It's too early to tell if they fixed everything or if there is going to be more problems in the future? Only time will tell.
