My husband used to use the Byetta pen. Since he lost a lot of weight, he no longer needs it, though. It worked well for him during the time he was on it. We weren't traveling very much at that time, so I can't tell you if there were any problems keeping it cool. He kept it in the fridge at home and used the little cool pack when we would be going out for the day. Hope this helps.
