We enjoy our 2012 CRV. Great all around SUV/Crossover and easy to tow. I just pulled a 12V fused line from the coach to the toad battery since I did not want to pull fuses or add switches. Towed it behind the Journey and now the Allure for about 5000 miles with no issues.
Unless you want pain and suffering, let someone else install the base plate. The Blue Ox base plate is really easy to bolt on but getting the plastic face off and on the CRV was a PITA for me. I ended up taking the car to a friend at an auto body shop to tune up my install of the front clip.
