RayChez I think that the major problem is the nav package as many have found that not having it shut down while towing drains the battery. Without the nav package most should get by without a charge line. That doesn't mean you should, just that you can get by. I have found that my CR-V battery goes flat after six straight days of towing without driving the car. That occurs even with the three minute running each morning. I also think that without a charge line you probably shorten the life of your battery as I have never gotten the typical five years out of my CR-V batteries. Therefore, next spring a charge line gets installed in my 2004 CR-V.
