Calgon water softener for sensors

Why is there a difference between using the liquid and powder versions of calgon water softener for cleaning grey tank sensors.

I can’t seem to find the powder in any of the stores near me. Is there a good place to buy the powder?

    Liquid and powder, Samey-same. Likewise any water conditioning powder. The point is to help the detergent to work more efficiently and prevent the buildup of lime scale on the sensors.

    With the powder you need to dissolve it in water before pouring it into the tank(s). Just make sure it is dissolved. Both work fine, the liquid is just easier to deal with.
