California adds 12 cent gas tax and 20 cent diesel tax

^^^^^^What part of government by republic are we misunderstanding? This is not a government by direct democracy, it is government by republic. It means you accept the rule of the majority. And no, you don't have to like it, and can petition to change it, but until it changes, it's the law of the land. Sorry.
