Now that burden has shifted to the middle class. When you give tax breaks to wealthy and corporations, they don't miraculously create jobs. Most people don't seem to get the point that the increased taxes on the rich and corporations get passed on to those who buy the goods and services from them. I've always maintained that the only people who actually pay taxes are the Middle Class - the rich can pass them onto others, the poor get tax breaks. Businesses are only acting as tax collectors for the Government.
