I wouldn't mind if Virginia increased it's gas tax some. But only with strict provisions. Any gas taxes are to only be used for repairs of roads, no new road construction. Gas tax could be used for upgrading an intersection type of construction.
Unfortunately I do not trust politicians to do what's right. I suspect any increase in taxes would just go to line someone's pockets and pay for the politicians pet projects.
