We are trying decide between 2 locations in California to work for the summer. Anyone have experience with the KOA Watsonville/Monterey versus the KOA Salina, CA Thanks

Any place you stop within 2 miles of Salinas, you are in danger from flying bullets, especially at night. Many innocents are killed or wounded from flying bullets raining down from above. My father's pickup took a bullet right through the hood while sitting in our driveway...62 Dodge, thick steel. An RV roof is even less protection. Gas stations are bad too...the gangs prey on travelers. It was bad in the 70's, and has only gotten worse. The vast majority of my friends have moved away, never to return, and they take their parents with them. Gang shootings, execution style, occur in parking lots and streets in broad daylight. If you value your life, drive through Salinas without stopping.
