I'm a Geezer myself and remember Dad telling me about the time he and my Uncle drove their 1 ton model "T" dump trucks loaded with GA. marble from Atlanta, GA. to NY City, NY. I think it took about 1 week one way. They just slept in their vehicles and bought food at general stores, etc. Back then you didn't buy a new tire when you had a blow out. You just put a boot in the tire, patched the tube on the road and pumped up the tire with a hand pump. No air gauge so you just thumped the tire with a hammer to guess at the tire pressure. This was in the late 20's or early 30's. Dad was born before 1890.
Now that was the good old days with no stress and hassels of today. LOL
