I'm not a geezer so I don't have any memories of that long ago. Our first road trip was when we moved from Buffalo to Denver in 1963.

NEWS FLASH:
If you can remember something that happened in 1963, I'm pretty sure you're qualified for membership in The Geezer Club.
Come....join us...don't be afraid...

hey Francesca
When does one become a geezer?
is it when AARP tracks you down and you finally become a member at53?
is it when you retire at 60?
is it when you go on SS at 62?
is it when you get your Senior pass at 64?
Is it when you go on Medicare at 65 ?
It sorta sneaks up on most of us...but moments of truth are usually thanks to friends/relatives and even, as in my case, total strangers.
I had a Most Shocking Moment very recently: I went to a crowded meeting- standing room only- and a woman in her thirties offered me her seat, which I graciously accepted.
Didn't occur to me until MUCH later that she was "being courteous to the Old Lady"! :?.....:B
I hear you on that
The other day a young girl at the supermarket wanted know if I need help to take groceries to car:h
Enjoying seeing all the experiences. About 10 years ago a very attractive young Lady was filling up her gas tank next to me. I couldn't help but glance. She saw my plate and said my Dad served, in Nam too. Talk about being hit with a two by four. Realized how old I had become. Today at the bookstore a young Lady held the door for me and gave me a smile...like I was 90.
