There are many very popular parks that folks have their heart set on getting a site. They try for one and it's full so they go to a less desirable park.
You are sitting on that reservation for 7 months. Is that fair to others? Yes, you deserve to pay a cancellation fee.
I NEVER said I sat on a reservation for 7 months. I *cancelled* my reservation SEVEN months EARLY.
I originally made reservations VERY early (in mid December 2015) for a campsite in July 2016. My boss needed me to alter our vacation times so early Jan 2016 I cancelled the reservations for a private campground in July 2016.
As I said, I get it if I was holding onto a site for months and months and changed it a month, two months, heck even three months early--but cancelling SEVEN full months prior?
I think its a bit extreme.
You agreed - so.........
Your Boss changed the schedule - think about asking him to add the fee to your "Expense account reimbursement" ......
I've never had this problem - simple, we make the reservations, at 2:00 for a site at 4:00.......
If still an issue then jump in the Bus and take a week-end to just CHILL......
JMHO,
