  • That is how news reporters make their wages. Take a small non important issue and turn it into an exciting story. :B This reporter turned a 5 year old story into a money maker. look how much press he got. Gotta give them credit for that. :B

    The article was first published in November of this year, and the bit I quoted about firebombing came directly from the article.

  • Coming from the law enforcement and workcamper side of this....these accounts account for an extremely tiny percentage of encounters with law enforcement and even tinier amount of encounters with workcampers/volunteers.

    My husband and volunteered/wced for 9 years and had our share of nasty encounters. That never deterred us from doing our jobs.

    The sensationalism of one encounter should not deter anyone who wants to volunteer or wc.

  • Could be someone using federal land to raise his stock on without paying for the land usage.
