Once stayed at a county run campground. Good example of overpricing because the roads were terrible, the site was on a hillside with water running down from rain and vegetation prevented walking along side the RV. I think it was $30 8 years ago. Later I e-mailed and said "you do not have a $30 campground" and they refunded half of the cost. The opposite is that we just camped at Pike's Peak SP in Iowa for a little over $20; beautiful surroundings, great hikes, elec. hook-up (not water). It wasn't perfect (leveling required) but a great value.
