Campground Theft

Ah, where are Tony and the boys when you need them?

We went to a special interest festival camp years ago, where a female friend had her purse stolen. She knew who had taken it, although she hadn’t seen the theft itself, and went to one of the organizers, a guy named Tony. At breakfast in the dining hall the next morning she pointed him out to Tony, who said he’d take care of it. 5 minutes later, Tony flanked by these two big bruisers walked up behind the accused, and announced that a theft had occurred, that the perp was known, and that smart people knew that thefts simply do not happen here, and finally that he expected the goods would be back in the victim’s hands within the next 15 minutes. Never looked at the guy, never said who or what, just said his piece and walked away. BTW, Tony is Italian, very Italian.

Sorry to hear that... they do cost a little money.

Since 1992 (year started RVing) this is the first year I have had problems.
Gas... 3 times, I am very sure. Guessing 2 gallons the first time, but about 5 the last time. 2nd time, think my furkid scared them off. IL (State park, camphost right across the street) and NC, private campground.

That does suck....Someone else didn't feel like sourcing a new one so they took matters into their own hands...

Camping for 30+ years and all I had go was a pair of sneakers while in Myrtle Beach...

Any possibility that it just blew off? A friend of mine had one leave his Silverado going down the interstate.

That stinks real bad! Two years ago at an Indiana State Park we had a 2 foot step ladder stolen from under the TT. I normally kept it in the bed of the truck, but I was using it outside and when done, slipped it under the trailer. Went inside. Came out about an hour later and it was gone! That took some dare! From that point onward, if we were not actually using "it", "it" was put back up when we went inside. Yea, it gets real old folding and unfolding lawn chairs. But I've lost faith in my fellow campers after loosing the ladder.
