The reason most complainers go camping is because they are unhappy at home. They bring the same "unhappyness" to the campground. They have a motto " we are not happy until you are unhappy". :B

This is very true!
Never thought of about it this way.
There are some things our neighbors at home do that just really drive me crazy.
When we RV somehow for the most part I can tolerate a lot of things.
I think I mostly bother myself because I expect too much of me... - classicdudeExplorerI enjoyed reading all these pet peeves! lol. I guess I've been lucky or just missed something. Over all my years of camping, I've discovered zero 'pet peeves'. I expect though, that I've fed many pet peeves since I am one of those who love fires, lights, and at least a little bit of racket once in a while...

My suggestion is when you drop yourself into a large group of people which you do not know and are of varying levels of education, wealth and ideals that you leave your pet peeves at home.....relax
And there it is. I could not agree more. It is just the nature of the beast. Each experience should be enjoyed. Remember it is the story you will be telling later. Just look at the number of posts in this thread. - tekman741ExplorerTell me how well my 2.5yr behaves but not rewarding me with a beer.
As for dogs we kennel ours he too annoying to take anywhere, he just wants to talk to everyone at all hours. - RGar974417ExplorerI'd like to know when and where all you people go to find all these problems. My wife and I usually camp in spring and fall.Go in on a Sunday and leave on a Thursday. We don't camp on Holiday weekends.By doing these things we avoid most of the problems that everyone seems to find.
- ScottGNomadI have a new one; People that leave puddles of oil on the pavement of the camp site and even in the grass - which will be dead soon.
Ranger said they will be contacting the last person to camp there.
As for people walking though your camp site, this happens to us at least once on almost every trip. I usually ask if they lost something. - homedadExplorerI've been camping 44 years and can never recall anyone cutting through my campsite. Everyone says I look like a grump. Maybe people are just afraid of me. Actually I'm one of the most easy going guys you'd ever meet. I just don't smile much.
- RoyBExplorer III gave up my site once to a couple that really wanted it because it was close to the bath house. No biggie to us...
Then that night it rained and rained and water flooded them out big time... It actually floated their patio mat away. I felt so bad about that I went over and offered to change back with them but they said "thats OK"...
We are pretty much easy going all the time - life is way to short to worry about all of the small stuff... If your camp site surrounding is to much to deal with just hookup and move to another spot...
We was tent camping up on the Blue Ridge at Rocky Knob on one trip and the wife wakes me up in the middle of the night saying there's a bear out there. Sure enough you could hear the snorting and grunts so I get my flashlight and bear spray and head out the door for a look see. Didn't see a thing and just when I was about ready to come back inside I hear it again. Turns out its the next door camper guy sleeping in his POPUP with the open window flaps snoring away... I was probably doing the same thing before the wife woke me up hehe...
Roy Ken - RoyBExplorer III like DJ's idea...
- mboppExplorerPulling up to the dump station and finding the last guy didn't use a sewer hose.
