Campsite/Campground Theft
I read quite often in this forum of people securing anything that weighs less than their RV to deter theft. It is a shame if this needs to be done and I am wondering if theft at campgrounds is as bad...

In my experience it has more to do with accessibility by the general public and ease of access from day use areas. Some parks we visit you wouldn't expect any problem because there is little to no traffic, other than fellow campers. Other parks it is a constant stream of day use vehicles driving through the campsites, even though the campsites are separated by road from the day use areas.
