Campsite/Campground Theft
I read quite often in this forum of people securing anything that weighs less than their RV to deter theft. It is a shame if this needs to be done and I am wondering if theft at campgrounds is as bad...

My first thought when reading your original post was back to the often tossed around definition of "campground". The public (State and forest Service) campgrounds that we have enjoyed for the past 30 years have been trouble free.
But some of the private RV Parks (aka Trailer Parks),where we have stopped for a quick overniter, while on the way to a destination, have given us the feeling that nothing should be left out.
