Can a 2004-2007 Chevy Aveo be flat towed?
Hello all,
I'm thinking on buying a 2004-2007 Chevy Aveo with 5 Speed Manual Transmission. My biggest concern is if it is capable to be towed with 4 tires down.
I've checked REMCO website and they sell baseplates for this car and they say:
"Towable as is without speed or distance restrictions. See Owner's Manual for confirmation and procedures."
But in the next line they say:
"No formal testing has been done on this vehicle by Remco. Remco considers vehicle flat tow-able. Remco is not liable for any damage done to Transmission as a result of flat towing."
If you check Aveo's owner manual it says that is not ready to be flat-towed, but then why Remco have a BlueOX system for this car?
Please, someone with experience on this situation, what they would do? because it's the kind of car I want to tow behind my 35' Motorhome, and the only one I find in my range price.
Thanks
