Can a 2004 Ford Ranger 3.0 Edge 4X2 be flat towed?

Can a 04 4X2 Ranger 3.0 Elite be flat Towed? If so are there special things I should anticipate doing to accomplish this? Have you done this and your results and impressions?


Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks, Tatest. I had not thought about the swerving or fishtailing issue while towing. With your input I will be better prepared to recognize this if and when it happens.

    Has anyone done any additional upgrades to keep the lubing of the transmission?

    As for the Elite vs. Edge, I believe it was simply an error by the OP (me) when typing the Subject line. I have made the change. Thanks!
