I have always been hesitant to do this, for obvious reasons. This year was our first trip out west with our newer FW and because we were going to be traveling long hours each day, I decided to try it.
Worked fine. In fact, the fridge worked better while traveling. My guess is because the wind going by drew out the heat of the fridge (at the top side vent) causing it to work better.
Got to remember to turn off when fueling though. Sometimes tough to remember.
