About one in 6 Americans get food poisoning each year in the US.
About 3000 people DIE from food poisoning each year in the US.
Some of you must have a different or better fridge then I do or travel different than I do because I can have my fridge down to 34 degrees, then turn it off and in the late afternoon it will be 55+.
Now we usually travel in the summer in 90+ heat so that may make a difference?
I always leave it on because of the odds of getting food poisoning are high but the chances of fire are low.
I suggest anybody that has a fridge get a wireless logger and thermometer for it. I was shocked at the temp swings on mine.
