Can we tow a 2015 Mini Cooper 4 down?

We are in the process of purchasing a 2013 Mini Cooper Countryman 6 speed manual transmission. We would like to tow 4 wheels down. We already have the Blue Ox tow hitch and have seen a Blue Ox base plate that fits this mini. We have seen conflicting reports on whether it can be towed 4 down. Anyone have any experience towing this particular Mini? Thanks in advance!

    I'm more familiar with the Mini made by BMC which is probably a totally different animal than the new ones made by BMW, but I know the older ones were front wheel drive. This would lead me to believe that if yours is the same, towing would be out of the question 4-down. You would need a dolly at least, and maybe a trailer at most.

    I looked in the Motorhome 2015 Guide to Dingy Towing and couldn't find any mention of the Mini Cooper. Unless the owner's manual says it is towable I would not tow it 4 down.

    The owners manual will tell you, it's probably the best source of towing information for your particular car.
    Not all manual transmissions can be flat towed.

    It should tell you in your auto manual all about towing and if it is ok to flat tow it.
