Canadians - medical coverage while travelling in the US

Woke up the other day and discovered I'm now in my 60s. Not sure where all the time went, but it is what it is... :( We've been using Pacific Blue Cross for medical coverage and we've had to pay ...

If you do only short trips Affinity Credit Union has a Gold Master Card that comes with a 5000.00 line of credit. It covers you for 30 days at a time and is valid to age 75. Cost is $90 per year.

CAA now sells medical insurace on a trip by trip basis. I top up the 30 days from Affinity. It is NOT cheap, but it appears to not have all the loop holes of other medical coverage.
