We were with Alberta Blue Cross for years, but they decided a few years back that Ramparil (auto giving of blood pressure for kidney pill when noted as diabetic) was on their NO list. We moved over to Travelguard and then a couple years following that ABC said it's not on our NO list any more = too little too late.
Travel Guard has been wonderful for us so you might want to check them out. Also someone mentioned to check out for exchange rate and medical with what becoming a member of the Canadian Snowbirders association might offer you. That and maybe enquire of the banks, as some folks we've met say they've got coverage up to 60 days with their financial institution due to how much and how invested and they can top up reasonably to 90 days or 120 days.
Good luck. Becoming Chronologically challenged sucks, but as they say ....... it beats the alternative.
Happy Travels.
