My experience with the salesman was actually excellent. My wife is like a little kid in ways. You know big eyes little stomach. She wanted a 5th wheel, I did not mainly because of the investment required was more than I wanted to spend on a hobby.
When we got to the lot there were a few 5vers bearing the 1/2 ton towable tag. She immediately started crowing about me being wrong.
The salesman showed her the specs on the trailer and then sat her down in front of the computer and showed her the specs on our truck.
This guy probably spent 45 minutes to an hour explaining weights and ratings. She was not happy but came away with a realistic vision. We went away she did a bit of soul searching and we went back and bought our present trailer from that salesman.
When we got the call that our trailer was in from the factory this same salesman spent almost 3 hours on the PDI, going through demonstrating and having us practice using every system o the rig.
We bought from a long established dealer, who has a reputation to maintain.
