canyon de chelly campground
We are planning on going up to Canyon de Chelly next week. We are looking at staying at the cottonwood campground. Has anyone stayed up there? Or have any suggestions on where to camp?

There are two different Cottonwoods in this string one is the Cottonwood Campground at Canyon de Chelly National Monument on the Navajo Reservation and the other Cottonwood is Cottonwood Arizona a small town where there is a train ride into Verde Canyon. :h I do not know how far apart they are as for the first time ever Goggle maps said that that route between Canyon de Chelly and Cottonwood Arizona could not be calculated. :?
Any way the train ride was good and a future trip to Canyon de Chelly is in the works.

To the best of my knowledge there is no Cottonwood Campgrond near the town of Cottonwood.
Canyon De Chelle, Cottonwood Campground, is just outside of Chinle Az. about 280 miles northeast of Cottonwood Az.
