CARB Inspections in CA
Has anyone been subjected to a CARB inspection while travelling in California....... Thinking of removing "catcon" from my Triton.

What's a "Catcon" ? I'm guessing by Triton you mean a Ford Triton Engine. I would think that if you remove emissions equipment from modern engines the computer is smart enough to sense it and then it may put the truck into "Limp Home" mode which will make it run real bad. There may be aftermarket computer program devices that will get around this though. But, by the time you get them installed and set up right you might not save yourself any money.
Before damming the converter (if that is what you are doing) I would take the truck to a second mechanic and get a second opinion. The mechanic you have now might have missed something.
