Have u ever had the wh worked on or is your rv new to u?
Mine was a disaster that I ended up replacing. some idiot ripped it apart welded the tank and decided to slap it back together without seals. Major no no I constantly had the co2 monitor going off and smelling Burnt propane in the coach. Found out the seals on intake and exhaust were NOT THERE. They are pressed fit and mine was old enough the new one was a better choice.
You will have to yank it out to see if this is the problem which very much sounds like the case mine was an atwood model.
Get this fixed immediately or leave it off especially at night!
