Carlisle tires
Are these tires really as bad as I hear they are ??

I've heard some awful tales about Carlisle tires over the years, but I've been using them on boat trailers, small equipment trailers, and my 5th wheel camper for years with no complaints whatsoever. Many of the things you hear about bad tires are caused by under inflation, overloading and speed. In my opinion (as a long time user) stick with the manufacturer's rating for the tire and its use and they will serve you well.
